The problem

What was wrong before.

Accountancy websites nearly all look the same: cold, corporate, grey and blue, and interchangeable. Michelle is none of those things.

The site had to feel like her, friendly, approachable and properly local, while still carrying the credibility people need before handing over their finances. Simple was the point, not a limitation.

What I built

The actual solution.

Three-page structure

Home, Services, Contact. No filler pages, no depth for its own sake. Every route leads to the same place, a conversation.

Warm, distinctive palette

Deep navy carries the credibility, blush carries the approachability. Deliberately the opposite of the accountancy default.

Owner photography front and centre. Local clients buy the person before they buy the service.

Phone number in the header, every page

A lot of this audience would rather ring than fill in a form. The number sits in the header on every page and every screen size, with Book a call as the single primary action alongside it.

Services in plain English

Bookkeeping, VAT, accounts, tax returns. No jargon, no acronyms without explanation.

Contact form into CRM

Automated acknowledgement on submission, so nobody is left wondering whether the message arrived.

The work involved

Decisions, not just features.

WordPress with Elementor Pro

Custom Elementor global design system for consistent styling across pages. Mobile-first responsive build.

Handled properly under the hood

Caching, image optimisation and asset minification. SSL, security hardening and scheduled automated backups. GDPR cookie consent.

Local SEO from launch

Written for local accountant intent, structured with LocalBusiness and Service schema, submitted to Search Console with a proper sitemap.

Handover done properly

Training session and a written user guide so Michelle can update the site herself without needing a developer for every small change.

The results

What changed for the business.

What this demonstrates

A small site done properly. Distinctive brand work, sensible structure and real automation underneath, without over-building.
